Getting Around

Living in San Diego is much easier if you have a car. However, if you don’t have that option, San Diego does have public transportation. Buses run throughout the city, and there are routes that have stops near the Institute.

Please refer to the San Diego Metropolitan Transit Authority for more information. There are two entrances to MISD’s campus with two separate addresses: 8745 La Jolla Scenic Drive North and 8660 Gilman Drive.

Apartment complexes on Gilman Drive or Villa La Jolla Drive are walking distance from the training center. We do NOT recommend that you rely on walking as your means of transportation unless you happen to find housing in an apartment complex on one of these streets.

Good news for students enrolled in a summer training course: We can help you arrange housing!

For students in our summer courses, MISD is able to assist you in finding comfortable, low-cost apartments on the campus of the University of San Diego, which is a 15 minute drive from MISD. Space is limited, so please submit a registration form (found below) to training@misdami.org as soon as possible if you would like to take advantage of this opportunity. Unfortunately, this option is NOT available for students attending a program that runs during the academic year.
