All classes at the Montessori Institute of San Diego are given in English. Only select courses have a Mandarin translation option. International students who require an I-20 incur an additional $500 International Student Fee, payable to MISD. International students from non-English speaking countries must take either the TOEFL (Internet- 80, Paper Based 550) or the IELTS (Score 6.5), unless they hold a degree from a university in a primarily English-speaking country. If you have a full time semester’s worth of courses (12 units in the USA, other countries may differ) in a primarily English speaking country, you might qualify for an interview in lieu of an assessment test.
