The Montessori Institute of San Diego is pleased to offer home consultation services. We are here to assist your family with the process of establishing a prepared home environment that provides optimal support for your child from infancy to age six. Our trained staff will partner with you to observe in your home and offer suggestions for how to enhance your child’s environment with added opportunities for independence, meaningful work, and developmentally appropriate learning.

In our basic consultation, a qualified MISD staff member will do a walk-through of your home and offer practical suggestions for educational enhancements you can make to your child’s physical environment.

In-Depth Consultation (Family Dynamic Analysis)

Our in-depth consultation includes all the services from the basic consultation, with an additional focus on how your child and other family members interact within the home. You tell us what time of day your family finds most challenging, and we will observe your child’s behavior at that time. Then we will offer practical suggestions for how to approach your unique family situation based on Montessori philosophy, personal experience, and basic principles of psychology. This package includes a written report detailing specific suggestions based on the observation.
